Break Out Descriptions

A Fork in the Road: Private vs Large Events

Often, when you are starting a business you will come to the proverbial fork in the road. The interesting thing is with certain Snowie equipment you can actually take both avenues. Oh and by the way, it's the most profitability avenue of the business. In this breakout we will discuss the event related equipment that Snowie offers, such as the kiosk and carts. We will discuss the equipment design and its unique features. Just as important, we will discuss how to go about finding events for your business.

Planning Your Adventure

The first step when you are heading out on a new adventure is planning. When planning this adventure it is key to not miss a detail before you head out the door. This breakout is meant to answer your “just getting started” questions. We will cover how to go about getting a health permit in your area, what kind of LLC/business you will want to apply for, getting insured, etc. Basically, what are the top 10 things you need to do once purchasing your equipment.

Flavor Station Fast Lane

Snowie is famously known for its innovative flavor station. It is what is known as a game changer in the industry. The Flavor Station has the ability to increase your sales and drive you into the fast lane to grow your business.  In this breakout we will focus on why use a flavor station covering how it works, the profit potential and how to maintain it.

Fuel Up With Flavors

On every road trip fuel is what keeps you moving down the road. The same thing applies for Snowies flavors.  Customers may stop because they want a tasty treat but keep coming back because of our flavors. Not only is the taste unparalleled but the flavor is actually thick enough to stick to the ice and not just run to the bottom of the cup.  Here we are going to focus on Original Flavor vs Natural Flavors, how to make sugar water and so much more.  Don't forget to stop up with some fuel for yourself and taste as many flavors as you need.

Put Yourself In The Drivers Seat

If you are looking to make the leap to starting your own business it can be a daunting and somewhat scary task. Sometimes even getting your hands on the “wheel” of your business can cause hesitation and second guessing. In this break out session we will talk to you about getting yourself in the right kind of mindset for starting your business. Even if you already own your own business it is easy for you to fall into the same “rut” of doing things over and over that may not lend themselves to growth. We will discuss tools and techniques for pushing yourself out of your comfort zone.

Snowie Road Conditions Ahead

The condition of your shaved ice will keep people coming back all summer. This breakout focuses on the different techniques for serving up the perfect shaved ice every time. Don’t take our word for it, try it for yourself.

When Traffic Is A Good Thing

Ever been cruising down the road just to be brought to a standstill with traffic? When you are trying to get to your destination there is nothing worse.  But when you are on the road to success with your Snowie business, traffic can be your best friend. Come to this breakout to learn more about targeted social media marketing and how it can help you to grow your business and expose yourself to customers who would not normally know you were there.

Tracking Your Miles

Ever had to track every mile? Keeping track of anything can be frustrating, but especially your money. At this breakout you will learn how to ease the frustrations of bookkeeping and use it to understand and grow your business.  One of the many benefits of tracking your money includes being able to see how efficiently you are working.  Bookkeeping can be an overwhelming task but when it’s done right you will set yourself and your business up for continued success.

Buses, Planes and Trains: Which Shaver is Best

Just like when planning a trip one of the most important decisions is how you are going to get to your destination. In the business of shaved ice your most important decision is what shaver are you going to use.  In this breakout you will learn about the three different commercial shavers that Snowie offers. We will discuss the pros and cons of each shaver to help you decide what shaver will work best for your business. Finally, you will get to try out each shaver for yourself!

Souvenirs From The Road

People love feeling like they are apart of something. Whether it’s a family, team, or community. This is why social media is such a big part of our culture. It’s the same for your business!  Using social media is a huge part of small business these days but can be VERY intimidating. In this breakout you will walk away feeling like social media is a breeze.  We will talk about what platforms you should use, what type of content is best and how best to stay organized with all of your posts.

Where Everyone Knows Your Name

Having a stationery business location where people know exactly where to find in your community is ideal for a shaved ice business. At this break out, we will talk through why the equipment was designed the way it was and how these features are beneficial to you. We will then dive into what a good location for your building looks like. Remember, a stationary location makes you money every day!

Multi-Point Inspection

Before and during any trip you want to make sure your vehicle is in working order.  Many mechanics will do it with a multi point inspection to make sure your vehicle is in tip top shape. This breakout will help you inspect your own business.  Running a business takes a lot of organization. At this breakout you will learn about the different management forms Snowie offers to its vendors for free on the vendor portal to help them be successful. Things like a cup count sheet, supply checklists, and even marketing material can be found on the Vendor Portal.

The Crossroads

Do you feel like you are at a crossroads on which avenue to choose? Fear not, we have a solution to every avenue! This breakout focuses out how it is important to expand into different avenues so that you have several different ways to make a profit.  The Bus and Van can help you do just that.  It is a great way to go in any diffraction when you are at a crossroads.  Come to this breakout to learn more about how the Bus and Vans can help you.

Widen Your Lane

From the outside Snowie is an opportunity to have your own shaved ice stand and make some additional income during the summer. What most people do not realize is that Snowie is perfectly set up to leverage the success of one building into multiple buildings or vehicles. This is what we call “Widening Your Lane”. In this breakout we will peel back the layers of how to go down multiple avenues and continue to grow your Snowie business.

Going The Extra Mile

It’s simple right? Shave some ice, put it in a cup and add some flavor. Running a shaved ice business can be that simple, but if you want to keep those customers coming back you need to do something different and mix it up from time to time. In this breakout we are going to cover how you can make it EXTRA special. By using candy toppings, creative offering, and much much more. Come learn and try to make something special yourself.
